Transfer news LIVE! Lionel Messi to Barcelona is ruled out; Real Madrid is looking forward to Haaland and Mbappe; The latest gossip

Lionel Messi’s sudden return to Barcelona has been ruled out following reports that the Paris Saint-Germain star and his family were unhappy with life in France.

Once again, the La Liga giants have become major players in the market and they have to compete with Real Madrid in the summer. Los Blancos are preparing for a major double swoop for Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain.

One player determined to be a part of the fun next season is Eden Hazard, who is said to have turned down an offer to move to Newcastle.

Magpies are desperate to boost their squad amid a relegation battle with Seville’s Diego Carlos and Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata.

At Manchester United, John McGinn was chosen as the main target of Ralph Rangnick’s team. The likes of Declan Rice and Judd Bellingham have also appeared in reports of where the Red Devils are considering splashing out money.

A new midfielder could be key if Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes go, with the Frenchman out of his contract in the summer and his teammate rumored to be putting talks on hold over a new deal at Old Trafford.

Juventus playmaker Arthur Melo has emerged as a target for Arsenal, with the Italians also close to letting Paulo Dybala lead.

Dusan Vlahovic considers it to be a huge priority for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster the front line.

At Chelsea, the left-back is at the top of their wish list, and Levin Kurzawa of Paris Saint-Germain was the latest candidate for the role. And Christian Eriksen could be poised for an impressive return to the Premier League with Brentford.

Kurzawa is unlikely to join Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel isn’t keen on a deal to bring in Levin Kurzawa.

Chelsea are seeking a left-back position this month to cover Ben Chilwell’s expenses, and it has been pointed out that the Paris Saint-Germain defender has been on the Blues’ radar.

However, Goal claimed that Tuchel – the former PSG coach – is not a huge fan of Kurzawa.

Pulling back Emerson Palmieri’s loan from Lyon is another option, although the French club are reluctant to let the Italian go.

Bayern Munich defender prepares for new pastures

Bayern Munich right-back Bona Sarr has caught the attention of Roma and Genoa.

Currently in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, the defender is reported to be leaving Bayern Munich.

FootMercato reported the Italian duo as being interested in his services, along with Lille and Bordeaux.

Mwamba: Eriksen’s return must be done safely

Christian Eriksen’s return to football should be welcomed, but you shouldn’t take too much risk.

This is the view of former Bolton player Fabrice Mwamba, who was forced to leave the match after suffering a cardiac arrest during a match.

Writing in The Times amid reports of Eriksen’s possible move to Brentford, he said: “I’m sure Christian will speak to his family and I think he wants to come back just to enjoy the game.

“I can’t imagine he needs the money. It would be great to see him come back and show us once again what a great footballer he is, but above all, I’m sure you can understand why I just want him to be safe and healthy.”

Benzema is not keen on Haaland’s arrival

Nacional reports that Erling Haaland’s signing for Real Madrid will lead to Karim Benzema being asked to leave.

The Norwegian player is strongly inclined to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with Real One team keen on his services.

But veteran striker Benzema has told the club he wants out if Haaland signs to compete for his place in the team.

Messi is not going anywhere

Allegations that Lionel Messi is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain are far from the truth, according to a report from The Sun.

The Spanish newspaper “El Nacional” had described the Argentine as thinking about his future with his partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, who was said to be unhappy in Paris.

But Messi is said to be now determined to complete his contract in France, which will expire in 2023.

Madrid’s huge eye kick

Real Madrid wants to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the summer.

According to Marca, a massive package worth £292m is being put together by the Spanish giants as they look to bolster the front line.

The huge amount is designed to cover wages, transfer fees and agent costs – with Mbappe’s contract at PSG expiring in June.

Adana Demirspor president Murat Sancak has assured fans that he will not sell Mario Balotelli this month.

He admitted that the striker’s release clause was less than £8m but added that he would ask for more than that because he and the Italian are like “brothers”.

Balotelli, linked to Newcastle, has scored eight goals for the Turkish national team since his arrival in July.

Marseille handed a transfer ban

FIFA announced, on Monday, that Marseille imposed a one-year transfer ban for being involved in a long-running dispute over Senegalese international Babi Gaye with Watford.

Gaye was in Senegal’s squad to face Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations Group B match in Bafoussam on Friday, but was left out of the squad after being suspended by FIFA.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Gaye’s suspension was the latest development in a saga that began two years ago when the French-born midfielder signed a pre-contract with Watford before the end of his contract with second-division club Le Havre.

Soon after, Gaye changed his agent, who recommended withdrawing from the deal, the newspaper said. Instead, he signed a four-year contract in Marseille in July 2020.

She added that Watford had lodged a complaint with FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber in February. The club added that Gay was banned from competing in official matches for a period of four months, pending a decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Wolves snatched winger Cchinio from Estoril in a four-year deal.

The 21-year-old cost £3m and said: “I’m very excited, but I feel a lot of pressure because it’s a big team, it’s a big club, but the most important thing is to come here and do my best.

“It’s a big stadium and I feel a lot of worries because it’s a big team, but I’m going to do my best for the club and enjoy playing here.”

The Reds tend to Ward Prause

BBC critic Garth Crooks has asked Liverpool to go and sign James Ward-Prowse.

The England midfielder is in amazing shape for Southampton and former Tottenham star Crooks believes he would fit in perfectly with Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

He wrote to the BBC: “The free kick scored by Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse against Wolverhampton was fantastic.” How long will Liverpool have to buy Ward-Prowse?

“They let Jorginho Wijnaldum leave on a free transfer as they struggle in this midfield division. Ward-Prowse would fit like a glove.”
